Georgia Legal Malpractice and Litigation & Appeals Attorney Taylor W Jones - Founder of Jones, Jensen & Harris
Atlanta Legal Malpractice

Taylor W. Jones

Taylor W. Jones Taylor is the firm’s retired founding partner. He retired in April 2009 after practicing law for more than 45 years.  His practice focused extensively on civil litigation and appeals, including more than 350 successfully handled plaintiffs’ legal malpractice cases, which is more such cases than have been handled by any other Georgia lawyer.  These cases include quite a few in which the jury verdict or settlement amount exceeded $1,000,000.

Taylor was born in Lexington, Kentucky, in 1938.  He attended undergraduate college at the University of Kentucky, where he was elected President of the student body.  He came to Georgia in 1960 and attended Mercer Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review, and then came to Emory Law School, from which he received an LLB and JD degree in 1963.  After 11 years as an Associate and Partner with a large Atlanta law firm, he started his own firm in 1975, which has evolved into the present firm of Jones, Jensen & Harris.

Taylor has written articles in legal periodicals and spoken at Continuing Legal Education seminars on legal ethics and legal malpractice, and has been designated with the highest rating (AV) from Martindale-Hubbell for at least 30 years.  He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.

Taylor served as an enlisted man in the United States Army, and, in 1994, after a 27 year career in the U.S. Navy Reserve, he retired with the rank of Captain.
